Thoughts

Dearest George , What a gent you were. You were always so interested in everyone and remembered what our family were up to. You always had a smile , a kindly word and loved a good chat. When I first moved to Well Close I remember how you and Gordon used to have your neighbourly chats across the bottom of my garden! You meant such a lot to so many, we will miss you but thankful that we had you in our lives. Love to Jean, Sandra, Nicola, Richard and families

One of the few people to ever ring our landline; whoever answered, the call started ‘Hiya kid, it’s only George over the road….’ A kind and lovely man who was never short of something to say, with a great story to tell, yet was was always genuinely interested in what was happening in our world. A fabulous neighbour who will be greatly missed.

Gorgeous, gorgeous Uncle George. Always laughing eyes, always time for all of us. A man who gave so much love and was loved by so many. Never will I be called Sis again - but I know I'm not the only one! I remember stopping off to see you in the RAC office enroute home from school - you always found time for me and that continued for the whole of my life.
